Just to start today was a much better day than yesterday. We got up a little later except Mom who took full advantage of the fitness room. Once up and ready we all enjoyed the continental breakfast (a must) and set out on the road. Interstate driving became our prayers answered. Please see interesting towns in New York State- Lords Valley and the Promise Land are probably only 20 miles apart. We felt like God was with us today. Yet the devil was there too since the heat wave had not eased at todays temperatures ranged from 33 to 43 that we witnessed on the car thermometer.

Mom had spotted this gem on the map and a photo oppertunity was a must. Nan and Mom showing off proudly their sign find. After this photo we decided to head into Hazelton PA for lunch having a wonderful lunch of Subway. The only fiasco there was the mix up between dill pickles and sweet pickles but super yummy :)

Who could go to Chocolate Town USA without a little dessert action?!?! We got our fill and it was oh soooooo goooooodddddd.
Instead of shopping at the outlets and we deff did not want to sit outside in the stinking heat so we pulled on into the Hershey Story which is an INCREADIBLE museum. We all had all ball learning about Milton Hershey, his life, his chocolate and his legacy. He was a very smart and kind man to everyone he knew. A must see if you visit this area.

Now onto our destination of Lancaster PA right at the start of the Amish folk. Now its no secret that I love a good deal so I have been kind of in charge of finding our hotels for the best rates, ect. So I did a little look in the Room Saver coupons today and settled on the Super 8 not knowing what would be available. Well lets just say that it's just a little skuzzy but overall we will make it with a few tweaks. See next pic.....

Our supper was phenominal at Cracker Barrel- I had ham that will retain a litre of water for sure much saltier than anything I ever ate and Mom and Nan both had roast beef. Now let me tell you their beef was the best bit of beef I have ever had in my mouth- MOUTH WATERING delicious. Tonights plan include - THE PREMIERE OF BIG BROTHER!!!
Tommorow we are going to Gettysburg in the morning then cancelling the idea of taking the scenic blue ridge mountains and going to opt for the interstate again. Mountain driving is not a slice of cake thats for sure. Hoping to get to Lexington Virginia tommorow
See you then- lots of love xo
Loving the stories of your travels. Keep 'em coming. Hot here in NB too. Enjoy.
